We at First Response Advantage feel that it is never too early to learn the skills on how to save your baby or child's life in case of any emergency. The best way to learn infant and child CPR is from a certified instructor. Our classes are offered on site and at several locations to meet your Needs. 

 
We use baby and child size mannequin's to demonstrate how to perform every aspect of the technique, such as just how hard to strike the back if your baby is choking. Practicing each step of CPR along with our experienced instructor's to guide you we will also help you learn how to do it and remember what you've learned so you'll feel prepared in the event of an emergency.

We can even have our instructors come to your home or another gathering place to teach a group you assemble. You might invite babysitter's, grandparent's, and anyone else who cares for your baby. Or invite other new parent's and make a party out of it. 

Infant and Child CPR
Designed for those who are parents-to-be or for those care for infants and children. This course teaches participant's how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac arrest emergencies in infants and children age 12 and younger. The Heartsaver child and Infant applies to infant's up to 12 months and children between the ages of 1 and 12.
 
The course takes up to 3 hours and offers a certification card from the American Heart Association valid for two years. The course can be done on site or off site for convenience.
 
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid

The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches how to manage emergencies dealing with illness and injury such as medical emergencies, injury emergencies in the critical moments until EMS providers arrive.

 

The course is intended for those who have a duty to respond to child and infant victim's of cardiac arrest and choking emergencies such as Parent's, Care Giver's Day Care Center staff.
 
The course takes up to 3 hours and offers a certification card from the American Heart Association valid for two years. The course can be done on site or off site for convenience.


What do we teach during the CPR class?
We teach you what you need to know in the event of a life-threatening emergency if your baby is choking or isn't moving or breathing because of a fall or a near drowning, for example. We will also teach you accident prevention and childproofing measures.

A typical infant and child CPR class consists one session that teaches how to care for babies from birth to age one year and children one to about age 12. The full class usually lasts about 3 hours. The techniques are different for babies, so it's important to learn both.


How much does the classes cost?
The Infant/Child CPR course costs $65 per person. These fees include take-home reference materials.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid course costs $65 per person. These fees include take-home reference materials.
